Current Information:

HM Trawler Miura was a vessel hired by the Admiralty in 1914 and used for patrol work in the North Sea. On Monday 23rd August, 1915 she was on patrol off Great Yarmouth when an explosion on her starboard side caused her to sink with the loss of eleven of her crew. Most accounts say that she hit a mine but German sources credit her sinking to a torpedo launched from the German submarine UB2.
